Third National conference on Advancements in Computer Science and Engineering (NCACSE-2021)
The Third National conference on Advancements in Computer Science and Engineering (NCACSE-2021) was conducted on 26th May 2021 by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the New Horizon College of Engineering Bangalore.
The inaugural ceremony was presided by Dr.Manjunatha, Principal,NHCE and Mr. Mohan Kumar, Practice Head, Cloud Transformation, Wipro was the chief guest. Dr. B Rajalakshmi, HOD of CSE, NHCE welcomed the gathering which was followed by an address by Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Dean-Academics, NHCE. Dr. Pamela Vinitha Eric, Professor of CSE and Conference Co-Chair gave a brief report about the conference and Dr. B Surendiran, Associate Dean (Academics) of NIT Puduchery delivered the keynote address. Dr. Senthil Kumar, Associate Proessor at NHCE delivered the Vote of Thanks
The Valedictory function was presided by Dr. K Gopalakrishnan, Dean R&D, NHCE. Ms. Lakshmi Hanne, Asst.Prof, NHCE welcomed the gathering, Dr. S Sridevi gave a report on the day’s proceedings, Dr.Pamela Vinitha, Professor, NHCE announced the Best papers of each track and Dr. Clara Kanmani, Assoc. Prof, NHCE delivered the Vote of Thanks.
The conference provided a common forum for deliberations, sharing of recent trends, advancements and research in the area of Computer Science. It was a very good platform for academia, researchers and technologists to discuss and present recent advances and research outcomes. Technical papers were invited on, domains like Image processing, Big data analytics, Machine learning, Deep Learning, IoT, Network security, Cloud computing, Data Mining and Blockchain.
A total of 79 papers were received. These papers were all sent for technical review conducted by well qualified academia. A plagiarism check of the papers was also done and the maximum permissible limit of similarity index was 20%. Acceptance mail was sent to authors of 68 papers and 53 of these authors registered for the conference. Of these 6 were from Mumbai, 2 from Tamil Nadu, 1 each from Telangana and Rajasthan and the remaining from various parts of Karnataka.
Papers were presented parallelly in 4 tracks namely, Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning, Internet of Things and Machine Learning. Each track had around 12 to 14 papers and the best paper of each track was identified by well qualified panel of session chairs. Due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation all papers were presented online using ZOOM or Google Meet. All these papers will also be published in the “International Journal of Scientific Research in Science, Engineering and Technology”, a Peer reviewed International Journal.
