New Horizon College of Engineering is a reputed college which encourages the overall development of students, by helping us to evolve our entrepreneurial and logical reasoning skills. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is the flagship department of the college, with experienced faculty members and well-equipped lab infrastructure. Our HOD, Dr B Rajalakshmi, supports all students to actively participate in hackathons, hands-on technical workshops and co-curricular events. All the faculty members motivate us to apply our programming skills, logic and creativity to solve complex problems and develop interesting projects throughout our engineering journey. The HRD department provides us with timely training and assistance for successfully completing our placement process. I am truly grateful for this enriching experience.

As I look back upon my engineering years, I am grateful to NHCE for providing me with a fun and conducive environment to learn and grow. The faculties in NHCE are what makes this institute, truly a temple of knowledge. As a student of the Department of CSE, it was a privilege and honour to learn from and be mentored by professors who always give their 100%. In spite of all the difficulties onset by the pandemic, the professors ensured that the learning process was never disrupted. Apart from helping me grow academically, NHCE has helped me make friends and memories that I will always cherish. I am profoundly indebted to the HoD, faculties and non-teaching staff of the Department of CSE for all the support and guidance they have given and helping me become the person I am today!

My new phase of career started at NHCE where the best memories were made to cherish for lifetime. The department and the student culture of CSE has always been the place of opportunities, be it in academics, sports, clubs, awareness programs and other initiatives. The campus has been an amazing environment with well-equipped labs, good infrastructure facilities, eminent faculty members and a placement cell. A place with all these facilities has been so useful to me in all walks, and for which I am grateful to them! The moments lived throughout this journey helped me learn what it really takes to connect the points of dreams to reality. My takeaways are a couple of best memories, connects and my first job @Khoros!

I am Riyaz shaik, proud to be a new horizonite. I placed in an EY company with a good package, The HRD team helped me a lot to get the campus placement and the faculty are like family who helped me to get technical knowledge as well as non-technical knowledge. They are supportive in all aspects. The teaching style of the CSE department is magnificent which took my learning ability to the next level.

Looking back at my journey of 4 years at NHCE, I feel blessed to have been a student of NHCE. The immense learnings and facilities provided with great encouragement by the college played an important role in shaping my personality. Besides the great infrastructure, the college also has a terrific academic program designed every semester. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, besides providing high-quality academic knowledge, also developed other important skills and qualities that made me ready for my future career. I'm greatly thankful to the Department of Placement and Training, for enhancing my skills and helping me get my first job offer at Capgemini. I'm also grateful to the Industry Institute Interaction Cell for all their support and encouragement that helped me become Microsoft Learn Student Ambassador. The constant monitoring and mentorship by the faculties made my engineering journey easier and achieve better. Overall, I'm forever grateful for all the constant support and guidance provided to me by the college management, teaching, and non-teaching staff.

New Horizon College of Engineering is one of the top colleges in South India. The teachers are experienced and highly knowledgeable. The curriculum ensures that the students acquire knowledge in each subject and can implement the same in real-world problems. Industry-oriented curriculum provides the right amount of theoretical and hands-on understanding to the students. The tests and exams conducted from time to time help the students to learn better. The placements are top-notch and get better every year. The highly qualified trainers prepare the students for assessments and interviews of all difficulty levels. There are several co-curricular and extra-curricular clubs that organize multiple events for the students. These clubs are formed and managed by the students and hence help them in gaining event management and organization skills. Many intra and inter-college competitions are held every year to bring the best out of students. Along with the technical events, many non-technical events are also conducted to ensure the overall development of students. The management is highly supportive and provides students with the right opportunities to enhance their abilities.

The growth of my personality has been greatly influenced by New Horizon College of Engineering. My leadership, time-management, and teamwork abilities have increased manifold and I have been able to foster these abilities. Indeed, teachers play a crucial role in shaping the college and contributing to its current state. They not only provide classroom instruction but also serve as the foundation for the knowledge acquired from this prestigious college, which is a priceless gift. Every month, our department carried out a variety of activities that significantly improved our talents and helped us bag many victories. I have personally received two offers and am presently employed, thanks to the placement cell's extensive training and development programmes. As a 1st year student, I was very nervous about how my college experience was going to be. But as the days passed and my friend circle evolved, new horizon felt like HOME. The faculties have shown excellent support throughout the years of my engineering, starting from project guidelines, coursework, practical hands-on to even supporting mental health by providing counsellors.
