INNOVATION PRACTICE – ACTIVITY BASED LEARNING
Introduction
Activity Based Learning (ABL) enables students to understand the concepts in a more fun filled way. We use various techniques like Role Plays, Crossword, Puzzles, Quiz etc.
Methodology
- The students are randomly called or voluntarily welcomed to enact on a topic which is being taught in class
- The keywords to be remembered regarding a topic are given as a jumbled word assignment. Such assignments not only strengthen their remembrance skills with the topic, but also makes the learning interesting
- The students are given a jumbled word assignment at the commencement of class from the previous class portions
- The students are given a puzzle to solve. Eg: Database Attribute Classification
- A predefined time will be given to solve jumbled word, crossword and puzzles
Expected Outcome
The student will be able to:
- Evaluate their understanding with the respective subjects
- Get motivation to study subject on a daily basis
- Learn the concepts in a fun filled environment
- Concepts will be made clearer in their minds
