Guest Talk-Data Analysis and Data Warehousing
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a guest lecture “Data Analysis and Data Warehousing” on 29th October 2024. The session was led by Mr. Ankit Keshari, BI Tech Lead at Koch Global Business Solutions India Pvt Ltd. He provided insights into data warehousing—an enterprise system designed for analyzing and reporting structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
Using a sales and marketing solution as a case study, Mr. Ankit demonstrated a data pipeline that integrates vast amounts of data into a unified analytics platform in Azure. He also discussed design patterns relevant to industries such as e-commerce, retail, and healthcare, which rely heavily on advanced analytics of large datasets. The session offered students a comprehensive understanding of the practical applications of data warehousing in real-world scenarios.
