Industrial Visit to VOLVO
Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized an Industrial Visit to VOLVO for 5th semester students on 18th October 2019.
The visit started with Informative Session by Mr. Raghavendra, Chief Operation Manager – Volvo Automation. Students got exposure to various high weight construction machinery, road machines, Off road machines etc. He explained the latest R&D work on intelligent machine, electric machines and connected machine segments. Students did Volvo shop floor visit with all safety guidelines. Their basic values of quality, safety, environmental care etc. was demonstrated. Industrial visit was very interactive and students gained real world industry exposure in industrial automation. Purpose was to show the interdisciplinary facet of an industry wherein the CSE/ISE students saw the usage of software tools in a manufacturing and automotive environment and MBA students had the operational understanding.
