PARAKRAM DIWAS

Netaji Jayanthi or Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanthi, officially known as Parakram Diwas (lit. ’Day of Valour’), is a national event celebrated in India to mark the birthday of the prominent Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. It is celebrated on 23rd January every year. Subhas played a pivotal role in Indian independence movement. He was the head of Indian National Army. He was also the founder-head of the Azad Hind Government. New Horizon College of Engineering celebrated Parakram Diwas with great happiness and joy on 23.Jan.2024 at 3.00 PM. Principal, Registrar, Deans, Hods, faculty members and student club coordinators lit the lamp and performed vandanam. The program started with a beautiful invocation on patriotism. A third semester student also narrated a brief history on Nethaji. The program ended with chorus singing of the National Anthem followed by distribution of sweets.
