Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Industry Institute Interaction Cell of NHCE, IBM OpenPOWER Center of Excellence and Computer Society of India organized “OpenPOWER Academia and Research Webinar” on 19-June-2020.
Dr. Alba Cristina Melo from University of Brasilia presented on Parallel Biological Sequence Comparison in GPU Platforms. She discussed parallel biological sequence alignment with the Smith-Waterman algorithm and presented CUDAlign, which is fine-grained multi-GPU strategy to align Megabase DNA sequences in multiple GPUs. Lutz Kirchner from GTS Data discussed about the data center and tools.
