Workshop on UI/UX Design Tools: Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering held a hands-on UI/UX Design Workshop on April 25th, 2025. Mr. Krishnaraj Vijayan, a Senior Lead UX Designer, led the session for fourth-semester students. The workshop introduced Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, focusing on practical applications.
Students learned wireframing, prototyping, photo editing, asset creation, and vector graphics design. Interactive exercises included designing screens, web layouts, and logos with expert guidance. Live demonstrations and individual feedback helped students refine their skills.
Participants actively engaged, asked questions, and showcased creativity throughout the sessions.
Trainers praised students’ enthusiasm and practical approach to UI/UX design tasks. The student feedback reflected high satisfaction and interest in further advanced workshops. The Department has made plans to organize more industry-oriented training sessions in the future.
